SUMMER TIME

I love, love, love, the summer!!!! I am finally walking on my foot again. :) I can't believe how long I was out of commission. It took me a while to not be in the habit of putting on that BOOT! ha ha We have been working so hard on our backyard. I have been raking and raking all the rocks out. Toby and I put in the sprinklers together. It is quite easy and kind of fun. We decided to hydro seed. It has been raining non stop for a while. So, we will see what happens back there.
Taya finished preschool and LOVED it so much. We did a joy school with 5 other kids this year for her. It was a lot of fun for her to go to different houses each week. It was also fun to teach all of them! Taya is learning so much and asks so many questions about EVERYTHING! She loves to play with her friends and ride her bike.
Trevor is my talker. He is so funny. He will repeat anything you ask him to say. He loves singing the Daddy's Homecoming song. He can talk 5 word sentences. (He is only 18 months!!) Crazy. My favorite thing to watch him do is count. He gets so focused and says 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, YEAH! SO, funny.
Toby is working, working, working. Busy season has not ended for him. He has put a softball team together for his work and gets to play once a week. Gives him a break from everything. I get to play every once in a while too!
Our next project is to knock out our half walls and put a banister in! I am so excited and can't wait to get going!

Taya has always LOVED her milk. She wakes up and it is the first thing we have to do! (MY FAULT completely!) Now, Trevor thinks he has to drink his milk like Taya. Going to the zoo again. This time with Aunt Brenda!

Surgery

Where has the time gone? I realized I haven't posted anything for a month now! Well, the foot isn't getting better. Still hurts everyday. So, surgery is now my only option. YUCK! Hopefully it goes good and I will be able to jump afterwards! It isn't to big of a surgery, just no fun. I am so sick of the boot and not being able to play at all. I go to practice and just toss balls at my girls. I love to jump in and play with them every once in a while to get things movin' faster. I am just hoping that things go well enough for me to start playing by summer time!! The exciting thing is that I have talked Toby into getting a new outdoor net :) I will update later of how it goes.
Kids are doing GREAT! Growing up so fast and learning so much. Taya loves going to preschool and playing with her friends. Trevor is my talker. He repeats everything I say no matter how hard the word is. I love to make him laugh. He has one of those deep belly laughs. After laughing so hard when I tickle him, he says, "MORE??" So much fun!

Valentine's Night

Toby and I went to the HOT WINTER NIGHTS at the E Center for v-day. It was a BLAST!!! It was a AVP 2 on 2 beach volleyball tournament for professional volleyball players. Jake Gibb was there. He played in the 2008 Olympics and took 5th also from Bountiful Utah!! Todd Rodgers was also there he took gold at the Olympics. It was so fun to see them play. There were a few other big names there also. I personally enjoyed the 6 PACKS!!! :)They were soooooo good and sooooo tall. Oh to be tall!!!! Toby and I had so much fun. We ran into some of our Logan v-ball buddies there too!! That sure made me miss the good old days and nights playing v-ball in Logan. It was the BEST v-day present EVER!
V-DAY MORNING-------- Toby had a b-ball game Sat. morning. When he got home he rang the door bell instead of coming in from the garage. He was holding flowers for me... OH, he is so cute... He also gave me a card. I read it and thought, "I have heard this before!!" So, I went to go get his out of my drawer that I got a month ago. YEP! We bought the SAME v-day card for each other.....HOW FUNNY is that! I guess we just know each other too well.... ha ha

Here it is! The dreaded boot that I have to wear. I am glad that it is winter and I am ALWAYS freezing or it would be way to hot to wear it. No more playing v-ball this winter :( I am just hoping that everything heals right so I can start back up in the summer.

Wow, is it already Jan. I havent' even posted Christmas yet. Life has been so busy around here. Christmas was so much fun. The kids enjoyed all their fun presents and Taya LOVED Santa.
I had my first tournament with the girls. It was so much fun. It was a Friday-Sat. tournament. Yeah, I was worn out. We played very well and took first in our pool play. Then we lost the first game in the tournament. I think that we were just worn out. So, more conditioning!!!
So, for the sad part of everything. I fractured my sesemoid bone in my right foot. It happened two weeks ago. Now I have a boot that I am wearing. It sure slows me down. That particular bone takes so long to heal. So, it is a guessing game to see how long it is going to take. NO FUN!!!!!!!
When I get time I will post picutres. Have a billion to post!

I just love it when my kids are so happy!!!!! We have been so busy around here. With Christmas approaching we have been shopping, shopping, and more shopping. Not that I will complain! I just love this time of year. The fun lights, tree, decor, etc. My favorite is turning all the lights off and just having the christmas tree lights shinning. It is so peaceful. Sorry I haven't blogged much. We have had a lot happen and I just have been to busy to post anything. So, I decided to make it easy and do just a few pictures in one video. We had a BLAST for Halloween. We got to go to Toby's work and show off the kids costumes and get TONS of candy. Then we went around our neighborhood. It was so fun and Taya ran the WHOLE way. I swear she can never get worn out!!! Trevor had his first b-day on November 1st. I can't believe how fast time flies. He makes us laugh every day. He loves to hold our hands and walk, just not quite there yet to do it himself. He is such a good boy and so much fun!

Hunting Trip No More!

Toby and I were supposed to be hunting this past weekend. We have been planing on it for almost a year. We bought our licenses and tags. When the big day was coming closer everyone that was planning on going backed out! WHAT was that about!!! I was a little upset to say the least. I have been weaning Trev early to get ready for the hunt. Toby and I decided that we were not just going to stay home. So, we got ready and went fishing back to the Teton River. "NO KIDS" It was so fun. We caught so many fish. Toby caught the biggest one and when I went to take a picture it slipped right out of his hands. SORRY honey!!!! It was a lot of fun to get away with out the kids....

NEW SHOES

So, I went to go buy Taya some new shoes the other day. I had just bought her some new preschool shoes that were a size 10. She loved them, and I was excited to get some fun shoes for her that would last until next summer. I took her into Famous Footwear and measured her foot. WOW was I off on her size. She measured at a WHOPPING 11.5.... WHAT IS THAT ABOUT! I was SHOCKED to say the least. She is only 3 and a half. The lady told me that to be safe she would need a 12. HOLY COW!!! So, here are the shoes that we ended up with. I vowed to myself that we would NOT get any Disney princess shoes. I was hoping to get her a good pair of Nike or Adidas for future tee ball or soccer. BOY was I wrong!!! She would not let these out of her sight, plus they light up!!! She has been so excited about them. How could I be so selfish and not let her keep them!!! I just hope she doesn't get toooooo tall.........

NEW JOB!!!!!

I got a job! YIPEE! YEAHOO!! I am going to be coaching volleyball again. :) I am so excited. It has been a whole year since I coached, and I have been going through withdrawls. I took a break to have Trev's. Now that he is older and not nursing, I am a little more free.... I get to coach a 17's team that will be in the Power Division. Sounds competitive doesn't it!! I can't wait to get started. (Everyone pray for my husband!!!) He won't admit it, but he is just as excited as I am.

Turning 29!

Toby turned 29 last week. He has finally accomplished his goal. He has wanted to go fishing with his dad in Idaho for a long time. So, last week we packed up the kids and headed for Idaho. He is such an amazing father and husband. I am so grateful for him and being apart of his life. We LOVE YOU DAD!!!!!

We got to go fishing for Toby's b-day. It was a lot of fun. We floated the Teton River. It was GORGEOUS! The first day we brought Taya with us. She had so much fun on the boat. She was so good all day. The best part was that I caught the most fish that day. HA HA HA..... Luck I guess. They were not big fish, but it was fun to catch more than the "BIG FISHERMEN" that I was with..... :) I just love going outside and enjoying the beautiful Fall season.

Toby and I are on a softball team for his work! It is soooo fun. So far we are in first place. There are 7 teams with no tournament. (Kind of BITES!) But, we haven't lost yet! We have played 5 games so far. It is so fun to get out and do something different!

Life has been crazy. I haven't posted for so long. This past couple of weeks has been a blur. With primary stuff, finishing our yard, and Toby being gone August is now over! Toby went out of town to Georgia for training on Sunday the 17th and would be gone until Wed. It was just me and the kids. On Tues. I got the kids down by 8:30. (YEAH!) At 9:00 Trev woke up covered in throw-up, then 10 min. later Taya woke up with the same thing. WHAT WAS THIS! We have been fine all day and then all of the sudden.... Thank heavens for MOM'S. I called my mom at 10:00 and she was here in 1 hour. I could not have survived without her. I have never had my kids throw up so often and at the same time. Once Toby came home I was a little relieved. Now he could help. Instead of helping he got sick too!!!! He was out for two days. LUCKY ME! We finally, today, are almost back to normal. Both of the kids ate 3 meals and no throw-up. A whole week of laziness and laundry. I am so sick of laundry and cleaning the bathrooms!!!!! I think Taya has watched every princess show 3 times. It was a weird day today, I actually got outside and went for a bike ride with the kids. I have never been so grateful for healthy kids.

LOVE THE FINGER!!!! He has just now been pointing at everything and saying "TEESH" (whatever that means??) Plus, he is now on the MOVE. He is now officially scooting all over the place.
WAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!! No more HELMET. I have been having him wear it for naps and bed time only. The other night I put it on for bed and he woke up dripping with sweat. NOT WORTH IT!!! There is just a little flat spot left that will probably poke out with time. It just figured that it just was not worth it anymore! Plus, I am the only one that notices it anyway. I defiantly think that it was worth it and am so glad that I did it.

Cool Bites

Bug Spray doesn't always work!!
Toby was out spraying roundup on all of our huge weeds in the back yard and got bit by something. He used a lot of bug spray before going out there but still wore shorts and had these bites show up later that night. They could still be mosquito bites but if you look closely at the one on the left, the bite itself actually looks like a spider. That was a few days ago and so far the only symptom has been itching. If anyone knows what it could have been please feel free to chime in.

Celebrating the 4th

The 4th of July we stayed home and had a B BQ with all the neighbors. It was a BLAST! Taya was all over the place playing with her little friends. I just love this neighborhood. There are so many little kids and fun people to hang out with. It was so hard to get some pictures of Taya. She was having too much fun running around squirting anything that moved!
Here is my 8 month old boy. He has just grown up! We decided to take his helmet for the night due to how how it was. He would have just been miserable. I haven't been able to do his hair for 2 months now. So, the final hair due "THE MOWHAWK." I do have to say that it was a HIT! He is just the most HANDSOMEST boy EVER!!!!!!!!!!

I have been trying to edit the slide show, but cannot get anything to save. So, those of you who know me well, know that I DO NOT SPELL! I tried to change the word tongue because I spelled it wrong, but couldn't figure it out! ANYWAY, Camping was a BLAST! We went high up into the Uinta mountains. We go every year for a family outing! It really has just become the Wyatt tradition. I looked at the slide show and realized that those pictures only took up 2 days worth of adventurous things that we did. We got to play games, shoot LOUD guns, go jeeping, play in the fire, hikes, etc. It is always so nice to get out doors and relax. Well, as much as an 8 month old will let you. :)

Dollar Store

This week has been so rainny and wet. Taya was going CRAZY being inside all day. So, I decided to go shopping.... to the Dollar Store. I LOVE IT THERE. We can get so many things and not spend much at all. We leave happy and come home with new things to play with!
Taya got new princess books. She read them, and read them,

Finally she looked up. I was too late and caught her with her eyes closed. She would not look up again!!!!!!!!!! She just loves reading. I think that Toby and I have them memorized by now. Every 10 min. she comes up to me, "Mom, will you read me another princess book!" How can you say no!

It doesn't even bother him. It would drive me crazy to have something over my eye!!! We have to go and get the helmet adjusted again. It always is over his eye when he is laying down or looking a certain way. HOW CUTE IS HE!!!!!

30th Anniversary

Vern and Cindy celebrated their 30th anniversary this year. The kids decided to surprise them with a party in Springville. They had no idea what to expect.
When they came into the room all was quiet except for their song playing in the background. Instead of waiting for instructions of what to do they started to dance. HOW ROMANTIC!!!! For those of you that have never seen it, Vern really does have a great smile....
Oh the memories!!!

I just wanted to comment on how much I love these two people. They are like my second parents. I know that there are not many people that can say they "LOVE" their in-laws. I truly "LOVE" mine and would never trade them for anything. They have taught me so many great things, and I look up to them so much. I am so grateful for them, and their hard work for raising such a great family. I sure enjoy being apart of it.

Trevor LOVES to put his hands on faces. Especially Taya's because she is ALWAYS in his face. There are many times when I hear a high pitched SCREAM and when I come to check what was the matter, Trevor has a fist full of hair in his little hand. Poor Taya, I know how bad that hurts. If she would only LEARN from it!!!!
Even though she gets really upset about the hair pulling, she forgives so quickly and they make up!!!

BUSY BUSY

WOW! Has it really been a month since I have blogged!!! I have so much to put on here. We finally got the internet set up in our home. THANKS DUNCAN'S for letting us MOOCH off you guys for so long. We have such great neighbors.
I am in the process of getting our computer set up downstairs. I figured that it would be really hot upstairs this summer and Taya LOVES to play downstairs. It will be nice to have it in a cool spot.
Trevor got his helmet. He looks so cute in it. Pictures will come shortly. I hate it, but it doesn't bother him. He has done so good with it.
I think that pictures are so much more fun than a bunch of words. So, I will say BYE for now!!!!

THE BUDS!

You have to admit, this is the CUTEST picture that I have of my little boy. Daddy put on his tie right before church and we just had to take a picture. Sadly to say we had to take it off before church because the top button was too tight on his neck. YEP this is a 12 month shirt and his neck is too big!

He will be six months on the 1st of May. We just love him so much!!!

SO, the final decision has been made. We ARE getting a helmet for Trevor. We are just waiting for the insurance to approve it so that it will be covered. I am just SICK about the whole thing. For those of you who do not know, Trevor had torticollis. This is where there is tightening on one side of the neck so he would lay on one side only. We discovered this when he was about 2 months. He was getting a really flat spot on his left side of his head. We have been working for the past 4 months on repositioning and trying to get things rounded out. (Man, it takes a lot of effort!!!) I have taken him to doctor after doctor to get things fixed without resorting to the helmet. He is ranked a 5 on a scale of 1-10. I was told that we could wait and it would round out on its own within a year, or we could put him in the helmet and get it over with in 4-6 weeks. Once I found out that my insurance covered it, the decision was made.

To all you new mothers. This CAN be prevented. All you have to do is rotate their head to a different side every time you put them down for a nap. Watch to see if they are favoring one side more than the other. If they are, talk to your doc and have them checked out. Torticollis causes the flat spot.

It is really frustrating for me because this CAN be prevented. No one told me to do this simple thing to prevent the flat spot. So, be aware and tell EVERY mother that has or is having a new baby. Helmets usually are not covered by insurance and they can run from $1800-$2500. Hospitals need to get the word out. It is now a HUGE issue with so many babies because we are supposed to put them on their backs. BUT, nothing is being said or done about getting the word out. I feel that every doctor I have talked with has just blown me off about getting the word out and just wants the extra money!!!! (They just don't make enough I guess!!!!!!!!) We just want what is best for Trevor and want him to be healthy.

Toby is now officially a CPA! I am sooooo proud of him. He studied so hard and passed all four exams on the first try. I am not bragging or anything, but it is really hard to pass on the first try. SO, I am now BOASTING and so very HAPPY for him. He is now done studying and can come home and REST! (well, from the constant BRAIN CRAMPS!) I am sure that there are many of you who have husbands going to school or studying for something. We know how hard it is on them and us. SO, those of you who are still in the CRUNCH of having no HUSBAND or FATHER around, the end will come SOON. I do have to say though, we could not have survived without the help from our Heavenly Father. There defiantly was help from above and we are so grateful for that knowledge.

I really don't know how they sleep! Trevor loves having his blanket over his head. I go and pull it down and then check on him later and it is back up there! Taya just has toooooo many animals. She loves sleeping by all of them. They are very strategically placed right where she wants them. I do wonder sometimes how she fits in her bed!

Trevor is defiantly a happy baby. He loves to smile and once in a while we get a little giggle out of him. He enjoys watching Taya and watching Taya. I don't know what I would do if she wasn't around. She really keeps him entertained! He is starting to roll onto his sides and can roll from his tummy onto his back. Not very consistent though. We just love him.
